Tin Shed Theatre are a great theatre company. Their projects are innovative and original and it’s always a joy to work with them. One of the projects they are currently working on is Of Mice and Men. They will be touring it in theatres and schools in February through until April. For the shoot we went to Usk in search of fields and tried to avoid the Bulls! (isn’t that right Antonio!)
In their own words Tin Shed Theatre are…
Based in South Wales, we are Justin Cliffe, Antonio Rimola and Georgina Harris. Three performance artists who came together through a mutual passion to defy convention and create a body of original work that is not only representative of ideas born through our combined imaginations and personal inspirations, but of modern theatre practise itself. We want to introduce our self to strangers, be bold and brave. Amaze with a tale and transport audiences to a place that, although remains detached from the literal, can still enlighten our perceptions of the real world all the same.
The work we do is as varied as the stuff that inspires it. We like to explore empty buildings, transform spaces, and fill theatres and studios with our very own concocted stories. The places we perform are anywhere. From empty shops, to studio theatres, the back of taxi’s to the insides of caravans. We create experiences as much as events, whether its the story of one lonely coroners obsession with the dead or a piece of installation art in which we coax the audiences to share their darkest secrets with us.
